Rehabilitation of Valve and Head Trees

We apply our experience and technology to mitigate the risks of leaks due to the high degree of physical and mechanical weathering caused by the loss of thickness in the steel due to corrosion, which decreases the useful life, operating capacity and safety conditions provided by each element of well control systems and equipment.


PROPESA offers the Integral Service of Rehabilitation of Valve Trees and Heads in land and marine wells, including the supply, replacement (removal and installation) of studs, studs, rings, gate valves, flanges, between other elements required for the adequacy of well control systems and equipment.

Our service for the rehabilitation of valve trees and hydrocarbon production heads, reduces the risk of leakage due to deterioration of the well control systems.







We take care of replacing bolts, studs, valves and flanges damaged as measured by new material. Cleaning and removal of rust is performed on metal parts.

We also perform reconstruction, coating and thickness recovery with specialized anti-corrosive products and stable to ultraviolet light in weakened structures, head flanges, side flanges, valve flanges, and damaged accessories.





Visual inspection and inspection of the tree, valves, flanges, screws, studs and accessories, characteristics, measures, operability, conditions and damage.




Reinforcement of heads and half valve shaft. Supply and replacement of studs, valves, flanges and rings.




Manual cleaning of components and rust removal.




Rust Cleaning Reconstruction, protective coating and thickness recovery in structural elements and weakened parts.




Tapping Machine and Tightness Testing


2 1/16 ”side flanges

Clean manually with a wire brush (removal of loose layers of rust).
Rebuild and reinforce damaged areas with specialized products. Cover with an anti-corrosive system that is stable in ultraviolet light.

2 9/16'' valve flanges

Clean manually with wire brush (removal of loose oxide layers).
Rebuild with specialized products and reinforce with metal plate or cloth along the circumference.
Cover with anti-corrosive system and stable in ultraviolet light.

Head flanges in diameters of 13 3/8 ”, 11” and 7 ”.

Clean manually with wire brush.
Rebuild damaged parts with specialized products.
Coat with anti-corrosive system and stable in ultraviolet light.

Localized thickness losses

Clean manually with wire brush.
Rebuild damaged parts with specialized products.
Coat with anti-corrosive system and stable in ultraviolet light.

Upper section of the half shaft (solid block) with severe corrosion and weakening of structure

Build metal enclosure to fit in upper section constructed of carbon steel and 3/8 ”thick.
Prepare internal part of metal wrap with almost white metal abrasive technique.
Install metal wrap (in two sections) until adjusted over damaged area.
Fill in remaining volume between upper section and inner part of the metal envelope. (by injection).
Cover with anti-corrosive system and stable to ultraviolet light.
